Project Title: Charitable Immunization Program
Project Description:

Community Nursing Services (CNS) has provided compassionate health and hospice care in Utah for 95 years and life-saving immunizations for 30 years. The CNS Immunization Program meets individuals in need where they are, from population-dense cities to rural towns throughout the state. Each year, we host 1,800 – 3,000 mobile immunization clinics throughout Utah, providing vaccinations to 50,000+ individuals and charitable vaccinations to 10,000+ uninsured or underinsured individuals.

Many Utah citizens report not having access to immunizations because of a lack of insurance and funds to pay for vaccines. The CNS Charitable Immunization Program bridges the gap in access to immunizations. Our Charitable Immunization Program focuses on keeping kids in school by providing charitable immunizations required for enrollment. Many people who come to us for charitable immunizations are single parents hoping to get their children vaccinated so they can enroll in school. Others in need include individuals without insurance or the funds to pay for vaccinations. The most common charitable vaccinations we administer are COVID-19, influenza, HPV, pneumonia, and tetanus.

The impact the CNS Charitable Immunization Program has on our community is ongoing and, in some cases, everlasting. We respectfully invite the Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation to help us meet the increasing need for charitable immunizations in the community in the coming year by contributing to our program.
