Project Title: After School Tutoring and Summer Camp
Project Description:

Feed the Lambs Enrichment Program, Inc. (FTL) provides several activities to address
the needs of children (ages 6-13) with the After School Tutoring Program, counseling and one-on-one mentoring. The program provides educational support services to parents and children in elementary through middle school in Indian River County. FTL’s summer programming continues its after school activities and adds supervised recreation. The after school and summer programming were developed to improve scholastic abilities, build confidence, and reduce the number of children being left alone without parental or other custodial care. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served in Summer Camp. Snacks are served after school.

The children from these families experience a lack of progress in general studies; summer
learning loss; food insecurity; and other hardships which can lead to poor outcomes.
FTL also assists parents with math, reading and technology. This helps parents increase their knowledge and learn how they can assist their children with homework, and reinforce efforts of the school system and the work done by FTL.

Two new activities address emerging needs. They are offered during the school year on alternating Saturdays and during Summer Camp.
• BOYS WILL BE BOYS – STRIVING FOR SUCCESS.
Teaching respectful language and appropriate dress, responsibilities, and living within the rules as well as good health and hygiene – also interviewing skills, and resume building for older teens.
• GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS – SEEKING A PATHWAY TO FULFILLMENT.
Addressing similar issues that are taught in the Boys group. In addition, empowering girls to reach for their dreams, have self-respect, accept responsibility for their own behavior and stop looking for love in all the wrong places.

Feed the Lambs Enrichment Program feeds children nutritionally, educationally and emotionally…with love.
We ask the Hermanowski Foundation to provide funding to serve our children…with love.
