Project Title: Smartboards for Exceptional Learning Institute
Project Description:
Exceptional Learning Institute (ELI) is a school that serves children, under the age of seventeen, with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a neurodevelopmental condition that affects social communication and behavior. As well as speech and language challenges, ELI’s mission is to provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. ELI recognizes that children with ASD have diverse and individual needs, strengths, and challenges, and that technology can play a key role in addressing them.
ELI seeks funding to enhance the learning experience of its students by acquiring Smart Boards for state-of-the-art assistive technology.
The grant will support the purchase, installation, and maintenance of smart boards in our classrooms. Each smart board will include the following components of these technologies, as well as the training of teachers, staff, and parents on how to use them effectively. The grant will also enable ELI to evaluate the impact of these technologies on the students’ learning outcomes, behavior, and well-being.
The infusion of technology into the curriculum aligns with ELI’s commitment to empowering students to navigate a technologically advanced world. ELI believes that technology can not only enhance the learning experience of students with ASD, but also prepare them for future opportunities and challenges in the 21st century. By using technology, ELI hopes to inspire its students to discover their potential, pursue their passions, and achieve their goals.
