Project Title: G.O.O.D GIRLS Mentoring Program
Project Description:

The G.O.O.D GIRLS Mentoring Program is a program designed to support teenage girls between the ages of 11 and 17 who struggle with self-esteem, leadership, and decision-making skills. The program aims to address the various challenges and obstacles that teenage girls face, such as self-esteem, peer pressure, drugs, suicidal thoughts, domestic violence, sexual assault, food insecurity, and housing insecurity. The program offers monthly empowerment workshops, mentoring programs, and various activities to help young girls develop practical leadership skills and build self-confidence.
The program provides girls with experiences that will develop and enhance their leadership skills while building self-confidence. Through the mentoring program, the program supports young girls by helping them gain experience and practical leadership skills to become leaders and examples for others in the community.
The G.O.O.D GIRLS Empowerment sessions are designed to cover various topics such as self-esteem, etiquette, cultivating the right relationships, college preparation, professional development, financial literacy, and leadership development. The sessions will be led by mentors and facilitators and will be two hours long.

In addition to the empowerment sessions, the program offers various activities such as the G.O.O.D GIRLS Summer Fun program, which consists of 4-hour sessions, three times a week throughout the summer. The program includes various activities such as recreation, games, multi-cultural outings, and arts and crafts. The program also offers the G.O.O.D GIRLS Volunteer program, which helps the girls learn about civic responsibility and gain pride in their work and community. Community outreach services are held on one Saturday each month, during which the girls go out in the community and engage in activities such as hosting fundraisers for local charities, feeding the homeless, volunteering at women’s shelters, or cleaning up parks in underserved neighborhoods.
