Project Title: African-American Art Legends
Project Description:

During each class, Makala will guide the youth through a
lesson that introduces them to a new African-American artist and their creative process. The
youth will have the opportunity to make connections to their own lives as they explore
the weekly art medium. At the end of the course, the artists will have a mini-portfolio of art
narratives using mediums such as clay, paper, paint, and stamps.
