Project Title: Culture Club Afterschool and Futures Fund Adult Workforce Development
Project Description:
By providing a dynamic after school program, Culture Club strives to foster creativity, critical thinking, and social consciousness in its students, preparing them to become agents of positive change in their communities and beyond. Culture Club allows teens to experience a rotation of all Walls Project programming from Mural Arts, Photography, Art Therapy, Coding, Urban Farming to Graphic Design.
Futures Fund JOLTcon offers intergenerational training for tech & creative jobs (3000+ trainees to date). JOLTcon is a teen empowerment conference by Futures Fund that hosts multiple training and competition events during the school year to advance underserved communities with arts-integrated education and exposure to jobs in the technology market.
Designed for high school students, our Baton Roots Urban Farm Hustle & Grow program brings directly to schools fresh food access and community empowerment through food justice. By educating youth on the benefits of urban farming and eating nutritious fresh foods, Baton Roots works with partners to bring food access to neighborhoods in food deserts.
Through Break N2 Tech, Futures Fund also offers the first critical step for adults to begin the learning-to-earning technology career path: relevant subject matter; essential “soft” skills in communications, problem solving, project management and project-based experience; paid pre-apprenticeships.
