Project Title: In The Herd Cape Cod
Project Description:

Horses for Mental Health is In The Herd’s non-profit fiscal sponsor. In the Herd, Cape Cod provides Equine Assisted services for mental health and learning. We teach life skills for youth ages 9 and above for the Cape Cod and the Islands. We will tailor this programs to provide services to kids in 8th grade transitioning up to high school. Taking up to 8 kids at a time. We will focus on social-emotional skills, communication, healthy boundaries, leadership skills, confidence, and body regulation. The program will run for 3 weeks for 4 hours, including lunch, 1 x a week. A 4th session will be run for the families to join and for the kids to demonstrate new skills and enjoy the farm atmosphere and connect within a community environment. Our staff will consist of 2 facilitators;1 female,1 male, and 1 registered nurse, 5 equine and other farm animals.
