Project Title: Repurpose historic Lundy House into Holmes County Art & Cultural Center
Project Description:

FOLP has collaborated with the MS Dept. of Archives and History and Mississippi Heritage Trust to restore the iconic Lundy House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Lexington, MS. Once renovated, it will serve as a vibrant arts, cultural, and event space for the community. These efforts will preserve its historical importance while fostering local art, attracting tourism, and driving economic growth—addressing a significant need in our underserved community lacking in community cultural events.

At the heart of our endeavor lies a matching grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission Building Fund for the Arts, potentially providing $120,000. Your generous contribution of $10,000 would play a pivotal role in helping us secure the additional funds needed to realize full funding. With just $25,000 left to raise, we can unlock the $120,000 matching grant and proceed with the restoration of the front porch. Your support is essential in making this transformation possible and enriching our community for generations to come. Thank you for considering our $10,000 funding request.

Total Project Budget: $200,000
