“SCRUBS”, a Career Training and Workforce Development Program that Introduces Minority, Diverse,
At- Risk, Low-income, and Underserved Youth populations in urban and rural areas. Youth in Grades 6
Students in grades through 8th are introduced to promising healthcare-related careers in a fun, inspirational, and engaging manner.
ways that develop a skilled workforce for the 21st Century good-paying jobs meeting personal, community
and business needs. SCRUBS uses Integrated Career Path Training Sessions for targeted “High Demand”
Healthcare Occupations: Nurse, Physical and Respiratory Therapist, Occupational Therapist,
Paramedic and EMT, Medical Technician, Medical Assistants, Infection Preventionist and
more.
