Project Title: Introduction to Theatre Arts
Project Description:

Provide ten (10) low- income Gaston County youth an opportunity to learn basic theatre arts concepts. Introduce them to information that will prepare them to audition for acting jobs. Students will learn to read a script and how to develop: Imagination, character building, creative writing and to understand and define the vocabulary of theatre arts. They will have twelve (12) weeks of training that will prepare them for an end of the session production.

Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): GSOA’s current funds are grants and donations from: Gaston Community Foundation, The Gaston Arts Council, The Glenn Foundation and partial scholarships from the Eugenia Evans Scholarship fund for selected students who demonstrate a need for financial assistance, for the Fall and Spring semesters.
