Project Title: The Music Box Ballerina
Project Description:

The project provides an opportunity for underserved children to participate in a major stage production. The production is called "The Music Box Ballerina" and is the story of a Ballerina who found she did not have to be stuck in the box. It is purposed to show children they can be anything or do anything they want to do in life and don’t have to be stuck in a box.
For the project we are recruiting children from underserved communities. The students are given an opportunity to appear on a major stage and to have their family and friends attend their event. The works of the program continue even after each production is completed as kids participate in other KIDDS Dance Project sponsored events. Some of these additional events include, The back to school event where they receive free school supplies, the SAVE OUR SONS event where teen boys participate in Youth empowerment workshops, or attendance at major Broadway productions that come to the city of Atlanta.
The goals of our program are to Build character, Cultural exposure, educational support and the provision of diversified recreational experiences.
