Project Title: Bridging Opportunities for Brighter Futures
Project Description:
Our goal is to empower youth and help them define themselves within the community through engagement in collective efforts directly and positively affecting their community. Our program employs methods such as mentoring, conflict resolution and job skill training that ensures youth & our community are supported represented positively & effectively. The purpose of the Clean For Green Youth Jobs & Mentoring Program is to address the high youth unemployment rate and limited opportunities for skill development among economically disadvantaged youth on the Far East side of Indianapolis. By providing meaningful job opportunities and mentorship, the program aims to empower young individuals, equip them with essential skills, and foster their personal and professional growth. The program seeks to break the cycle of unemployment, promote social mobility, and contribute to the economic development of the target neighborhoods. The program will primarily serve economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 13-18 residing on the Far East side of Indianapolis but not limited to this area. Our target participants will come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and they will benefit from the program’s job placements and mentorship opportunities that cater to their unique needs. The success of the Youth Jobs & Mentoring Program will be assessed through a set of well-defined performance measures to track its impact and effectiveness. Key performance indicators will include: Youth employment rate, skill development, mentorship engagement, educational pursuits, graduation rates, community impact, participant feedback. By measuring these indicators, we will be able to continuously evaluate the program’s outcomes and make data-driven improvements to ensure its long-term success in addressing youth unemployment and fostering positive change within the target neighborhoods of the Far East side of Indianapolis.
