Project Title: PIP Program
Project Description:

Our project is the PIP Program. Possibilities In Payroll (PIP). LALA Nonprofit is excited about launching this program, which will focus on empowering our youth to make clever financial choices and how to understand their various spending habits to help prevent the systemic cycle of poor spending choices. Hosting approximately 12 young individuals per session, over eight weeks, we will dedicate four hours each week providing in-depth guidance on budgeting, understanding spending habits, payroll taxes, and pretax deductions. Our program will also cover employer benefits, credit cards vs. debit cards, finance charges and interest rates, as well as how to shop for credit and loans if needed. Additionally, we will explain the differences between banks and credit unions. Our lectures will be complemented by engaging activities to help ensure that the material is understood and retained
