Project Title: Utopia Timely Intervention for Children (UTIC)
Project Description:

The purpose of Utopia Timely Intervention for Children (UTIC) is to facilitate the early identification of Developmental Issues in children ages 0 – 5 so that life-changing strategies can be implemented at the optimum time. UTIC will also focus on Workforce Skill Development by teaching a variety of professionals (from 50 different home-based providers) that regularly interact with young children to recognize early warning signs & provide resources to the most vulnerable members of our communities.

If a child has a developmental delay, there are therapies that can help him thrive. In communities with high levels of poverty, health disparities & minority populations, developmental disabilities are often not detected in early childhood. This means that children don’t get the help they need right away, making it hard for them to learn, making developmental delays worse & having life-long implications.
