Project Title: Safer Community Mindful Project
Project Description:

The Safer Communities Mindfulness Project is a program designed to create a safe and supportive learning environment for teens in Roosevelt Gardens Park. Through a comprehensive curriculum encompassing mindfulness, yoga, reiki, and tai chi/qigong, we aim to help participants regulate their emotions and reduce negative and impulsive behaviors. We will create Mindful Ambassadors, who will be trained in these practices, will also visit senior centers to teach mindfulness to seniors and their peers, promoting inter-generational compassion. By targeting a group of 10 teens aged 14-18, our program aims to equip them with valuable skills that will positively impact their lives and the community at large.
