Project Title: STEM/STEAM Camp
Project Description:
New Media Arts Center, INC. (NMAC) will serve as STEAM headquarters for school aged children to receive educational guidance that will improve academic test scores, grades and independent thinking using curriculum generated by technological content. NMAC is a lab where students will come Monday-Friday for two hours to learn about cyber security, mathematics and engineering along with creative arts around music, art displays and cultural history.
Students will have personalized curriculum established based on their needs, cognitive development and math/reading scores. Once the curriculum is assessed, certified tutors ranging from reading specialist to information technology analyst will be available to teach instruction and address problem areas. Though we will have the technology lab established to increase
independent learning, students still prefer educational instruction and therefore tutors will be available for guidance, life skills and improving competencies.
Our mission is to help teachers prepare students with 13% improvement towards test scores, grade advancement and technological learning for a smooth transition to the next grade with high-level results. NMAC will network and campaign with other STEM organizations to further advance STEM/STEAM education.
STEM skills are and will continue to be the tools necessary to address complex challenges of the future.
The goal is to increase learning by developing curriculum based on individual assessment, independent thinking and performance through STEAM
activities.
