Children are natural artists. Each one brings their own cultural identity, beliefs, interests, and dreams each day to what they are doing. We value and integrate their backgrounds and interests into our art projects; therefore, we create a space for everyone to be visible, show their talents, and pave the way for their future success in other academic areas and life. Arts are a great equalizer that offers positive academic experiences for students. Arts tap into a variety of abilities such as creativity, expression, and imagination. Positive art experiences allow for social enjoyment and personal gains. Drama, visual, dance, and music, can be used as a bridge to other subject areas. Success in math, science, and language. The arts give all children a way to achieve. Especially those children who struggle with language or learn differently.
