Project Title: Teen Summit and a Bus Trip
Project Description:

The Teen Summit, designed for at-risk youth aged 13 and up, addresses critical issues affecting their well-being. We will conduct this one-day summit two time this year. The teen summit will focus on bullying, health, and the overall welfare of the participants. Through engaging workshops and discussions, we aim to create a supportive environment where teens can openly express their experiences and concerns. Expert facilitators will lead sessions on anti-bullying strategies, emphasizing empathy and resilience. Health topics will cover mental and physical well-being, encouraging a proactive approach to self-care. The summit seeks to empower teens with essential life skills and resources. By fostering a sense of community, we aspire to build resilience, boost self-esteem, and provide tools for navigating challenges. Our commitment is to create a safe space where these young individuals can learn, share, and grow, promoting a brighter future for at-risk youth in our community. As a culmination of the Teen Summit, participants in the W.A.P.W initiative will be rewarded with an enriching educational bus trip to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. This excursion serves as a tangible acknowledgment of their engagement and commitment to personal growth. The trip aims to inspire a love for learning by providing a firsthand exploration of American history, culture, and innovation. Guided by educational experts, attendees will engage with exhibits that bring history to life, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. This unique experience aligns with W.A.P.W’s mission to empower at-risk youth, offering them a broader perspective and igniting a passion for knowledge. By bridging the gap between education and real-world experiences, we aspire to leave a lasting impact on the participants’ lives, encouraging them to envision brighter futures for themselves.
