Project Title: Art for All
Project Description:

Our initiative, "Art for All," allows our organization to support underserved/transient youth in Charlotte. On several occasions, we plan to provide Charlotte’s underserved/transient youth with arts enrichment starter kits in an effort to spark or revive creativity. The starter kits provide a hands-on experience for youth to express themselves in ways they have not been able to in a long time, if ever. The ultimate hope is for youth to find, or hone, their craft during a time when more creativity is needed in the world. The funds will be used to create arts enrichment kits for youth and to facilitate arts expression workshops. A vast majority of the funds will specifically be dedicated to purchasing items to go into the kits. Items include, but are not limited to writing notebooks, writing utensils, enrichment books, sketch pads, paint, canvas, paint brushes, etc. Youth will have the opportunity to choose which kits inspire them. In conjunction with the distribution of kits, youth will potentially have the opportunity to participate in mini arts expressions workshops in which they will utilize their kits and explore their art of choice using other resources. Following these arts education workshops, there will be time for youth to build community through art, discussion and sharing a meal.
