Project Title: Little Scholars Preschool
Project Description:

CCF would like to open two additional preschool sections for the 2023 – 2024 school year. CCF’s preschool classes are at capacity with over 100 families on the waitlist to enter the program. This funding would be used for student supplies and materials: Furniture needed to outfit a classroom.  Children’s tables, chairs, art easels, play areas, play kitchen set, book displays, bulletin boards, kidney activity table, alphabet rug, building block table. Offering two additional sections of Little Scholars Section One and Little Scholars Section two would allow CCF to increase the language and emergent literacy skills of 72 children next year as opposed to 36, decreasing the educational gap seen by the school districts in our area. CCF’s program success can be attributed to our exceptional delivery in the areas of Behavioral Health and Social Services. We are well known and trusted in the community we serve. It’s also beneficial to parents, as they can themselves attend educational classes at the same time their children are attending. CCF offers 4 levels of English as a Second Language Instruction, GED courses, Citizenship Preparation courses and Workforce Development programs.
