Project Title: Youth Art Therapy Program
Project Description:

Project Extreme is a small 501c3 organization transforming the lives of youth in crisis from 13 years of age up to the age of 21. We offer a number of impactful therapeutic programs including summer camps, weekend retreats, crisis interventions, residential programs, and year round mentorship to help at-risk youth overcome depression, addiction, and damaging relationships. To date, Project Extreme has assisted over 4,000 teens and this number continues to grow.

Our programs are designed and delivered by experts and are continuously evaluated to ensure maximum therapeutic outcomes and enjoyable experiences. In 2022, a teenage girl requested an art therapy program as part of our list of mental health therapy programs. She had found a dramatic change in her mental health status after being exposed to this non-traditional form of therapy. We took her request seriously and secured partial funding from the Bader Charitable Foundation to initiate an Art Therapy program to deliver as part of our weekend and holiday programs. So far, we sent one employee for training and have begun to purchase art supplies.

To expand this program to meet the needs of our youth, Project Extreme is seeking support from the Hermanowski Family Foundation, an organization that shares its belief that all children and youth deserve a life filled with love, ongoing support, and professional help. Funding in the amount of $10,000 will allow us to train three more staff members and purchase art supplies for up to 30 youth in crisis. With much needed financial support from the Hermanowski Family Foundation, we will be able to improve our ongoing programming and expand our reach and make life-long impacts for more youth across our nation.

Total Project Budget: $15,328.50 for the Art Therapy program, which included sending four staff members for training and art supplies.
