Project Title: The Farmlink Project
Project Description:

The Farmlink Project is a nonprofit organization working to fight food insecurity and food waste by connecting farms with surplus produce to food banks in need. We locate farms experiencing a surplus yield that would otherwise go to waste and coordinate the logistics to transport that produce to food-insecure communities across the US. Both food insecurity and food waste have afflicted this country for a long time, and these issues have been exacerbated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We fundraise externally to provide economic relief to our farmers and transportation workers to deliver fresh, nutritious produce to families in need.
