Project Title: Revels Kids
Project Description:

Revels Kids is a year-round educational outreach program that facilitates space for understanding amongst diverse cultures and shares local history through the performing arts. Focusing on elementary students in historically underserved communities within and around the greater Washington DC Metro area, this program creates opportunities for youth to explore their family history and culture, celebrate their own culture as well as others through interactive song, family engagement activities, drama, and storytelling performances. Students will explore the culture, heritage, and history of their families and neighborhoods through song, dance, story, and art; and learn about others from around the world, and across time, using cyclical celebrations and holidays as gateways into other cultures.
