Project Title: The Victory Center Education Program
Project Description:

Individuals affected by autism experience abroad range of challenges. Unfortunately, many public schools are not equipped with the resources necessary to adequately address the needs of these students. The TVC Education Program provides high-quality, center-based educational services to students on the autism spectrum. Unique to the South Florida community, the program combines educational instruction, daily living, and community skills training with therapy that is based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is the only scientifically proven form of therapy used to treat individuals with autism. It proves intensive educational support and a highly individualized curriculum for TVC students who are all complex learners with autism and other developmental disabilities. The school has grown to include six programs: Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) and Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI), Pre-Academy, the Vocational Program, Adult Program, and Respite/Community Programs which include Aftercare and weekly activities. In addition to the 1:1 student/teacher ratio, TVC has implemented both 2:1 and 3:1 student/teacher ratios, enabling more students on the spectrum to receive educational services. Each child receives what he or she needs to develop their full potential. We are currently experiencing our highest enrollment levels in the school ‘s history with a wait list for the first time.
