Project Title: AWE Scholarships
Project Description:

Alliance of Women Executives (AWE) is a Palm Beach County member based nonprofit whose mission is to offer $1500 scholarships to young women graduating from a Palm Beach County high school and continuing their education at Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University, Palm Beach Atlantic University or Palm Beach State College. We are hyper focused on our local community and supporting higher education to high achieving students primarily from low to moderate income communities.
A $6000 grant will join our current funders and AWE members by supplying four new $1,500 scholarships to motivated, academically proven young women in-need who choose to or need to pursue college educations locally. Your total donation will go to scholarship funding with no administrative costs and you will help ensure these deserving scholars who require financial assistance realize their dreams of achieving a college degree in PBC and pursuing lives of productivity and promise here at home.
Many of the young women we have served come from underserved communities and have dealt with poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, abuse & neglect or have been in the foster care system. Many of these environments do not put a value on education, we aim to break that cycle.
Our scholarships make a crucial difference for the young women we serve. Often, we make the difference that diminishes their concern over educational debt.
We believe deeply in our purpose to help young women realize their full potential. We believe young women who demonstrate a desire for a higher education and meet all the requirements to be admitted to college deserve the chance regardless of their socio-economic status, therefore we always welcome new community partners to join us.
