Project Title: Supporting Youth Development at Boys Home
Project Description:

Boys Home provides residential youth development services to young men in grades 1-12 from across the country. All students arrive on campus having experienced significant adversities in their lives and/or struggles within the traditional academic setting. Some of these situations include difficult adoptions, unsafe home and community environments, behavioral struggles, and families that simply struggle to meet the student’s needs. Students are provided with individualized education within small classes, consistent care, leadership and leadership training, and social-emotional support in order to find positive ways to navigate their traumas and improve the trajectories of their lives. Currently, over 70% of the population identifies as a person of color and many students are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Boys Home has been operating for over 100 years with a mission to help build successful young men, never turning a student away due to his family’s financial situation. All requested funds would go directly towards programming support and meeting the daily needs of students. This includes, but is not limited to, dietary, medical, educational, clothing, and recreational needs.
