Project Title: Kids Club Art Classes Program
Project Description:

Valley River Arts Guild requests $10,000 to spark our community kids’ creative flames by providing free and low-cost arts classes in our classroom and arts and crafts gallery at the Murphy Art Center, enhance and expand our established arts programming to reengage all ages community children including elementary, junior high, and high school, and to seek out new participants with homeschool and preschool children.

All art classes and events organized and produced by our volunteer-driven Valley River Arts Guild.
All arts programming held at Murphy Art Center, Murphy, Cherokee County, North Carolina.

Programming will occur between January 06, 2024 and December 14, 2024 and will include:
Two or more Saturday art classes per month (26 total per year) including many forms of art.
Eight Make and Take craft projects during First Friday Art Walk, May through December, providing crafting materials and direction as a hands-on take-home artwork for children.
Three seasonal full day art workshops (Summer, Fall, and Spring).
Four Summer Series Art Camps of 3 days each (12 days total).
