Project Title: Trel’s Home Residential Program
Project Description:

Trel’s Home Residential Program (THRP) is Trel’s Home for Children’s (TH4C) primary program dedicated to providing a refuge and a loving Christian home to children abandoned or abused. THRP provides a safe haven for children who have been separated from their parents because of abuse or neglect. The program consists of 24-hour residential care, individual and group counseling, and an emergency shelter. Currently, the shelter is licensed and located in Texas.
The United States has one of the worst records of child abuse among industrialized nations. Between 4 to 7 children are lost each day due to child abuse or neglect. There is an ever-increasing need for programs and services to provide shelters and communities for these children.
The THRP model has a unique and innovative approach because of its community involvement, small home-like environment, and collaboration with other organizations; we are able to provide a home where children feel safe and loved. TH4C believes that it truly takes a community to help decrease the number of children who are subjected to abuse and/or neglect. Offering support such as counseling, life skills, and functional coping methods has been proven to prepare children for adoption and decrease the amount of time they have to be in a facility.
