Project Title: Healing Futures: Trauma-Informed Counseling Access for Vulnerable Youth
Project Description:

A&E Christian Counseling Foundation is requesting funding to provide trauma-informed counseling services and emotional wellness support for vulnerable youth and young adults ages 12–21 across the United States. Many of the youth served by our organization have experienced foster care involvement, family instability, trauma exposure, anxiety, depression, grief, abuse, neglect, or significant life disruptions. Financial barriers often prevent these individuals from accessing consistent mental health support during critical developmental years.
Grant funding will be used to provide free and reduced-cost virtual counseling sessions, emotional wellness resources, therapeutic support materials, and trauma-informed interventions designed to help youth develop healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term stability. Services will prioritize underserved and low-income youth who would otherwise be unable to access counseling support.
The project will operate over a twelve-month period and aims to increase counseling accessibility while reducing financial barriers to care. Anticipated outcomes include increased access to consistent mental health support, improved emotional wellness, development of coping skills, and increased stability for participating youth and young adults.
A&E Christian Counseling Foundation combines trauma-informed care with lived experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges vulnerable youth face. The organization is committed to creating accessible pathways to healing and emotional support for underserved children, adolescents, and young adults.
