Project Title: Dor L" Dor: Hebrew Language and Jewish Identity Initiative
Project Description:

The Dor L’ Dor Initiative is to strengthen Hebrew language education and deepen Jewish identity through the purchase and implementation of a comprehensive Hebrew language curriculum for students in grades K-8 at N.E. Miles Jewish Day School. Meaning "generation to generation," Dor L’Dor reflects the school’s commitment to preserving and passing down Jewish language, culture, and traditions in meaningful and engaging ways.
This project will provide students with access to a modern, cohesive Hebrew curriculum designed to support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through interactive and age appropriate instruction. The new curriculum will add and enhance what is being used and will align learning across grade levels and promote both academic growth and cultural connection.
Funding will support the purchase of teacher guides, student materials, classroom resources, and digital learning tools grounded in current best practices in Hebrew and world language education. Through immersive lessons, students will build confidence in Hebrew communication while strengthening their connection to Jewish heritage and the global Jewish community. As the only Jewish day school in the state of Alabama, N.E. Miles Jewish Day School plays a pivotal role in fostering Jewish continuity and community connection. Investing in a high quality Hebrew curriculum will enhance the educational experience for all students while equipping educators with consistent effective educational instructional resources
