Project Title: Zeta Youth Empowerment & Leadership Development
Project Description:

Royal Doves, Inc., in partnership with the Zeta Youth Auxiliary, respectfully submits this request to The Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation in support of our Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development Program. This initiative directly aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to improving and transforming the lives of children and young adults up to age 21 by equipping them with the tools necessary to achieve their full potential.
Founded over six years ago in Pembroke Pines, Miramar, and surrounding South Florida communities, Royal Doves, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a proven history of girl-centered programming. We serve 20 young ladies ages 4 to 18, providing mentorship, life skills workshops, civic engagement, and leadership training to build confidence and character through young adulthood. Over 90% of our graduates enroll in college or trade school, supported by two to three scholarships awarded annually to graduating seniors.
The Zeta Youth Auxiliary serves as a hands-on leadership laboratory where older participants plan events, lead initiatives, and model excellence for younger members. This intergenerational model complements structured workshops in financial literacy, public speaking, and college and career readiness, facilitated by professional volunteers committed to the next generation of women.
Our young ladies also participate in regional youth leadership conferences, gaining exposure to new ideas, networks, and possibilities beyond their immediate communities. Graduates consistently cite these experiences as pivotal moments in their development.
A grant of up to $5,000 from the Hermanowski Foundation will fund conference registration fees, professional attire, transportation, educational materials, facilitator stipends, and senior scholarships, ensuring every young lady has equitable access to all program opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.
