Project Title: Read, Think, Grow Summer Reading Program
Project Description:

As part of our commitment to literacy advancement, we operate two independent but complementary programs: Read Think Grow and the Summer Reading Challenge. Both initiatives are designed to strengthen literacy skills, improve reading comprehension, and cultivate a lifelong love for reading among youth in low-income and underserved communities.

Read Think Grow is a structured, year-round literacy program that focuses on guided reading instruction, vocabulary development, comprehension strategies, and critical thinking exercises. Through intentional curriculum support, discussion-based learning, and written reflection, students build foundational reading skills and academic confidence.

The Summer Reading Challenge is a seasonal initiative that encourages students to complete up to 100 hours of independent reading between June 1 and July 31 to prevent summer learning loss. Participants track their daily reading, engage in biweekly virtual discussions, and earn milestone incentives that reinforce consistency and engagement. We are expanding access to diverse genres, including manga, contemporary novels, culturally relevant literature, nonfiction, and graphic novels, to ensure students remain motivated and connected to reading.
