Project Title: Youth Housing Demonstration Program
Project Description:

HHSI is seeking support for its Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP), which serves young people experiencing homelessness in the greater Quad Cities area. This initiative is designed to strengthen a coordinated system of prevention, intervention, and long-term housing support tailored specifically to the unique needs of youth.
Young people experiencing homelessness often face significant barriers, including lack of stable income, limited access to education and employment, and disconnection from supportive networks. Through YHDP, HHSI works to address these challenges by providing individualized, youth-centered services that prioritize stability, safety, and long-term success.
Funding will support outreach, navigation, and housing-focused services that help youth quickly move from crisis situations into safe and stable living environments. Participants receive assistance with basic needs, connections to community resources, and ongoing support to build life skills, pursue education or employment, and maintain housing.
HHSI collaborates closely with community partners to ensure a comprehensive approach, leveraging local resources and incorporating input from youth with lived experience to shape programming. This project emphasizes accessibility and low barriers to entry, ensuring that young people can engage in services without unnecessary obstacles.
