Project Title: Student Support Program
Project Description:

The Student Support Program (SSP) at Bader Hillel High School helps students feel supported, safe, and ready to succeed. We believe that when students have strong emotional support and positive opportunities, they are less likely to engage in harmful behaviors and more likely to thrive. The program focuses on two main areas. First, students can meet with a school social worker for counseling, emotional support, and help during difficult situations. These services are available during the school day, making it easy for students to access help when they need it. We also work with Jewish Family Services to provide additional counseling support and training for staff.

Second, the program offers internships for 12th-grade students. Each senior is placed with a local organization, such as a nonprofit, school, or clinic. These experiences help students build confidence, learn responsibility, and connect with positive role models in their community.
This funding will help us expand access to counseling and strengthen our internship program. By supporting students’ mental health and giving them meaningful opportunities, we help reduce stress, prevent conflict, and create a safer school environment.
