Project Title: Hustler Talks: Youth Leadership, Wellness, and Career Exposure Series
Project Description:

Hustler Talks is a structured, five session program that combines social and emotional learning, career exposure, and leadership development through direct engagement with professionals in sports, entertainment, technology, and business. Each 90 minute session blends speaker conversations, roundtables, and interactive workshops focused on communication, professionalism, identity, and mental wellness.

The program is intentionally designed for youth who are disengaged in traditional settings or navigating behavioral and academic challenges. By meeting young people through their interests in music, sports, gaming, and culture, Hustler Talks creates a high trust environment where youth can build confidence, develop self regulation skills, and see new possibilities for their future.

Participants engage directly with industry leaders, gain exposure to real career pathways, and participate in public speaking and storytelling exercises that strengthen their voice and self advocacy. The program also incorporates wellness practices that support emotional awareness and decision making.

Hustler Talks has demonstrated strong outcomes, including improved school engagement, reduced behavioral incidents, and increased confidence and communication skills among participants.

This funding will support program delivery for a new cohort of youth in DC, allowing The Hustlers Guild to meet existing demand and expand access for young people who are currently on a waiting list.
