Project Title: Reading Starts in Infancy: Distributing Multilingual Books Through Our WIC Program
Project Description:

Children’s Friend provides early care and education braided together with family support so all members of the family can get on the road to success. We believe in promoting the habit of families reading together. We propose to distribute multilingual books for infants and toddlers through our WIC program. Our WIC program provides nutrition support and other services in four of our centers and through a mobile van. Our WIC program serves 6,000 families each year. All families served by WIC are low-income. More than 50% speak languages other than English at home.
