Project Title: Dream Academy Leadership Institute & Youth Workforce Development Program
Project Description:

Dream Academy Foundation seeks support for its Leadership Institute & Youth Workforce Development Program, serving youth and young adults ages 10–24 across Proviso Township and the greater Chicago area.
Rooted in community and led by a Proviso native, the program provides structured leadership development, mentorship, and workforce readiness training designed to prepare young people for long-term success in school, careers, and life.
A core component of this initiative is the Leadership Institute for Youth, an 8–10-week immersive program for high school students that combines leadership development, financial literacy, social-emotional learning, and career readiness. Participants engage in hands-on learning, mentorship with professionals, and real-world projects while building digital portfolios that showcase their skills and growth.
For older youth (ages 16–24), the program includes paid internship opportunities that provide direct exposure to career pathways, professional environments, and workforce expectations. Participants gain critical skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership while expanding their networks and access to opportunity.
Dream Academy prioritizes youth from under-resourced communities who often lack access to mentorship, career exposure, and professional development. Through consistent engagement and a strong community-based support system, participants build confidence, develop purpose, and take actionable steps toward their future.
Funding will support program delivery, mentorship engagement, workforce development experiences, and direct youth support.
