Myla’s Beleaf supports families facing pediatric cancer by easing the financial and emotional burdens that arise when stability is most critical. Through its Financial Assistance Program, the organization provides one-time, vendor-paid support to families of children and young adults ages 0–21 with a cancer diagnosis. Requests are sent by hospitals and vetted nonprofit partners, ensuring verified needs while reducing administrative strain on caregivers. Funds are distributed within five days using a tiered structure based on treatment stage: active treatment (up to $5,000), maintenance (up to $3,000), remission within 18 months (up to $2,500), and beyond (up to $500). Aid covers essential expenses such as housing, utilities, food, and transportation, allowing families to focus on their child’s care without added financial stress. This rapid support helps prevent financial crises and keeps families stable.
Myla’s Beleaf amplifies its impact through partnerships with organizations including Chasin a Dream Foundation, Kids Cancer Foundation, Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Shared Spaces, and Trustbridge/Empath Hospice. These collaborations streamline referrals and ensure prompt, coordinated care. The organization is distinguished by its exclusive focus on childhood cancer, support for essential household expenses, and commitment to serving young adults ages 18–21 who often fall outside traditional programs.
