Project Title: No Sibling Turned Away
Project Description:

The No Sibling Turned Away Fund ensures that families can fully participate in equine-assisted psychotherapy by removing financial barriers that often limit access to only one child per household. This program provides scholarships that allow siblings and caregivers to participate alongside the primary client, fostering stronger relationships, improved communication, and lasting therapeutic outcomes.
Through our family approach to equine-assisted therapy, families engage in shared experiences that support healing, connection, and growth—together.
Equine-assisted services are often financially out of reach for many families, resulting in only one child being enrolled while siblings remain excluded. This creates missed opportunities for:
• Strengthening family relationships
• Reinforcing therapeutic progress at home
• Addressing shared or secondary trauma within the family system
Research and practice show that family involvement significantly improves outcomes, particularly for children experiencing trauma, behavioral challenges, or emotional dysregulation.
In our community:
• Families frequently request participation for siblings but cannot afford additional fees
• Siblings may experience similar stressors but lack access to supportive services
• Caregivers often need tools and support to reinforce progress outside of sessions

Without financial assistance, families are unable to fully benefit from a holistic, family-centered approach to care.
Funding will directly offset the cost of participation for the siblings and caregivers of underserved individuals, allowing them to engage in consistent, goal-oriented equine-assisted sessions led by trained professionals. Healing does not happen in isolation—it happens within relationships. By ensuring that siblings and families can participate together, the No Sibling Turned Away Fund creates deeper, more sustainable change. This program strengthens not only individual participants, but the entire family system, leading to healthier, more connected communities.
When one child heals, the impact is meaningful. When a family heals together, the impact is transformational.
