Project Description:

Mother Seton School located in Emmitsburg, MD, serves 317 students in grades prek-8th grade. Of those 317 students, 42 students with disabilities are in the Learning Center. Of these students, 18 have a diagnosis of dyslexia or a similar language-based learning disability. We have 4 students that are currently in the process of being diagnosed. Many of the 18 dyslexic students would benefit from 5 days a week intervention but with current staffing, this is not possible. Mother Seton School, located less than one mile from the site of Elizabeth’s original school, is an important partner for many Maryland and Pennsylvania families as it continues the Seton Legacy of Catholic Education. Requested funds in the amount of $10,000.
