Project Title: Education Room and Programming supplies
Project Description:

The Portage, IN Boys & Girls Club serves close to 300 youth per day, offering afterschool youth services including homework help and academic support, as well as mentorship, teen leadership, art, STEM, and recreational activities. A new room has recently been built this month but needs to be carpeted, furnished, and equipped with educational supplies and equipment.

This new space will directly support the Club’s expanding educational programming, including targeted literacy initiatives, STEM enrichment, and college and career readiness efforts designed to help youth build critical academic and life skills. Through structured programs and hands-on learning opportunities, Club staff aim to improve school engagement, boost academic performance, and provide a safe, supportive environment where all members can thrive.

To fully realize the potential of this space, the Club is seeking $10,000 in grant funding to complete the room and outfit it with essential resources such as flexible seating, technology, learning materials, and program supplies. This investment will ensure that more youth have access to high-quality educational programming in a dedicated, well-equipped environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and achievement.
