Project Title: Care for Children with Birth Defect Disabilities and the Poverty-Level Families.
Project Description:
Our mission is to create and implement programs that directly improve the health and well-being of babies, children, and their poverty level families. We feel this initiative is consistent with your organization’s mission and philanthropic values. The FCD Cares’, Children with Birth Defects Disabilities Initiative, serves the newly born, babies and children living with debilitating birth defects, and their poverty-level families. Its focus is on the urgent care and Extra-Ordinary monetary assistance for babies & children with Birth Defect Disabilities and their poverty-level families in the Hillsborough, Pinellas and other Florida Counties. Our program helps babies, children, and their families with desperately needed funds to pay for Extra-Ordinary cost such as specialized food, medical supplies/equipment, housing, medical trips, baby clothes and other necessities that they need but are not covered by government agencies or other sources. Most benefits do not consider these types of Extra-Ordinary medical and non-medical costs. All these extra-ordinary cost to Children with Birth Defect Disabilities’ poverty level families, just intensifies financial hardships, feeling of desperation and an urgency to matters that they, the families, are already experiencing. Our program objective is to, 1) Expand the Care for Children with Birth Defects and Disabilities Initiative. 2) To support the ongoing and future Extra-Ordinary financial needs for their low-income, poverty-level families. 3) To help their low income, poverty-level families with funds to pay for Extra-Ordinary specialized medical care, medical supplies, nutrition, housing, and other necessities that they desperately need but cannot afford. 4) To locate families to be the beneficiaries in their communities. 5) To create positive differences in the lives of babies, children, and their families so they can achieve productive lives and live with healthy habits, and 6) To help them maintain positive attitudes toward themselves and others.
