A young girl grows up believing she is nothing… that success is a fairy tale meant for someone else. Slowly, she withdraws. Her confidence fades. Opportunities narrow. This is the quiet reality for thousands of children. But we can change it — if we meet them where they are.

WHY SELF-ESTEEM MATTERS
Research consistently demonstrates that education alone does not lead to success. Self-esteem is essential for fueling curiosity, resilience, perseverance, and more. When it is low, potential shrinks; when it grows, children aim higher, stay healthier, and achieve more.

SELF-ESTEEM RISING: FREE AND PROVEN
For 17 years, the Hance Family Foundation has delivered Self-Esteem Rising, a suite of five programs that build confidence and life skills like self-awareness, emotional strength, and relationship-building. We’ve expanded opportunities for more than 260,000 people — always at no cost. In a Harvard-affiliated evaluation of our flagship program, every participant reported increased confidence.

EXPANDING ACCESS FOR SPANISH-SPEAKING STUDENTS
Demand for Spanish-language materials is rising quickly, especially in the underserved schools and communities who need us most. To ensure no child is left behind, we are translating and printing our workbooks in Spanish.

At just $5 per book, students will get access to life-saving tools that change how they see themselves and their futures.

OUR REQUEST
We respectfully request $10,000 to support translation and printing of 2,000 workbooks for our most popular program (about one year’s worth).
