Project Title: Supporting Families to Improve Economic Mobility
Project Description:

Vital Connections is committed to strengthening economic mobility for families by providing comprehensive, wraparound services that support both children and their caregivers. We recognize that a child’s success is deeply connected to the stability, well-being, and opportunities available to their family. By addressing educational, health, and economic needs together, Vital Connections creates a foundation that helps families move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
At the core of our work is high-quality early childhood education that prepares children for school success while allowing parents to pursue employment, education, or job training. Through safe, nurturing learning environments, children develop social-emotional skills, early literacy, and confidence—critical building blocks for lifelong achievement. At the same time, families are connected to individualized family support services that respond to their unique goals and challenges.
Our wraparound approach includes access to health and mental health resources, nutrition support, housing referrals, and transportation assistance. Family Advocates work one-on-one with parents to develop goal plans focused on education advancement, workforce readiness, financial literacy, and career pathways. Parents are supported in enrolling in credential programs, completing degrees, improving employment outcomes, and navigating community systems that can otherwise be difficult to access.
Vital Connections also prioritizes strong partnerships with local employers, training institutions, and community organizations to ensure families are connected to opportunities that lead to sustainable wages. Parent leadership development and engagement opportunities further empower families to advocate for themselves and their children, strengthening confidence and community connection.
By integrating early learning with family-centered wraparound services, Vital Connections reduces barriers that keep families from progressing economically. This holistic model not only improves immediate stability but also promotes generational change—ensuring children enter school ready to succeed and families are equipped with the tools, resources, and support needed to build a more secure financial future.
