Project Description:

Children’s Day Preschool & Family Center (CDP) will provide targeted early intervention services to preschool children ages 2 1/2–5 yrs. in Passaic, New Jersey, who are experiencing developmental delays in language, motor skills, and social-emotional functioning. Through an integrated, school-based model, children receive on-site speech therapy, occupational therapy, and individualized art therapy delivered by licensed professionals.

This project supports over 100 children annually, many from low-income households where access to early intervention services is limited. By embedding therapy directly into the preschool setting, CDP ensures consistent participation, reduces barriers to care, and reinforces skill development throughout the school day.

Funding will directly support therapy service hours, including approximately 360 hours of speech therapy, 180 hours of occupational therapy, and 800 hours of art therapy. These services are aligned with individualized learning and development plans and coordinated with teaching staff and families to maximize impact.

Expected outcomes include measurable gains in communication, motor development, emotional regulation, and overall school readiness. Children will demonstrate improved classroom engagement and increased ability to meet developmental milestones.

By providing early, consistent intervention, CDP helps children build the foundational skills necessary for long-term academic success and well-being.
