Project Title: Pave Your Way
Project Description:

Pave Your Way is a comprehensive, outcomes-driven program designed to support foster and at-risk youth, ages 16 to 21, as they transition to independence. Youth exiting foster care face some of the highest risks of homelessness, unemployment, and disconnection from education. This program directly addresses those risks through an integrated model that combines safe housing support, life skills development, and workforce readiness.

At the core of Pave Your Way is housing stability. We provide transitional housing assistance and individualized support to ensure youth have a safe, consistent place to live while they build independence. Stable housing serves as the foundation from which youth can pursue education, employment, and personal growth.

Participants engage in structured life skills training that includes financial literacy, budgeting, meal planning, tenant responsibilities, time management, and navigating healthcare and community systems. These skills are reinforced through real-world application and mentorship, ensuring youth are prepared for long-term self-sufficiency.

The program also emphasizes career pathways and job development. Youth receive job readiness training, resume building, interview preparation, and direct connections to employment opportunities through local partnerships. For those pursuing higher education or vocational training, we provide guidance and support to help them enroll and persist.

Pave Your Way is grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that recognizes each young person’s potential. Success is measured through tangible outcomes, including stable housing retention, employment placement, income growth, and continued engagement in education or training.

By addressing housing, life skills, and employment together, Pave Your Way creates a clear and supported path forward, empowering youth to transition from foster care into stable, independent adulthood with confidence and dignity.
