Project Title: Learn English Together Family Storytime
Project Description:

The Ridgefield Park Public Library is planning a "Learn English Together Family Storytime" to assist new families in the area build English literacy skills and community connections in a supportive environment. The target audience is families with newcomer families with children that are infants to 6th grade. We aim to offer this program 1-2 times a week starting in the Fall of 2026 and have the pilot year end at the end of 2027. The program will entail a brief storytime with target vocabulary and activities that incorporate that vocabulary. If awarded, the grant will be used to purchase literacy games, Easy English News, and snacks for the participating families.
