Project Title: The Hope Hill Empowerment Boutique
Project Description:

Hope Hill Youth Services is seeking a grant of $8,000 to establish the "Hope Hill Empowerment Boutique," an on-site, retail-style shopping area dedicated to the youth in our care. Most children come into our care with little more than the clothes they are wearing and what they could shove into a plastic bag. This space will serve both children under 18 in the foster care system and young adults over 18 transitioning into our Independent Living program. The boutique will be stocked with new and gently used clothing, shoes, and essential hygiene items, while also utilizing gift cards for specialized needs. More than just a supply closet, this project is designed as a mental health intervention by providing youth who have lost everything with the autonomy, dignity, and "normalcy" of choosing their own belongings.
