Project Title: Inventor’s Workshop Summer Camp
Project Description:

The benefits of Inventor’s Workshop STEM summer program serve under privileged and disadvantaged students that makes learning fun and exciting. The Inventor’s workshop is designed to instruct kids about science, technology, engineering, and math that provides the students with the opportunity to continue their education and explore different STEM concepts they may not learn about in their classrooms. The Inventor’s Workshop provides students with a productive summer that uses STEM to teach young participants to solve problems, think logically, and be creative. The Inventor’s Workshop introduces math and science at an early age that gives the student a distinct advantage. For instance, hands-on-experiences with STEM activities that enrich them with important knowledge and develop necessary skills for completing their primary education and possibly purposing a STEM based career.

The reason for initiating the Inventors Workshop Project is to provide local girls with a summer enrichment program that offers a fun and exciting way to experience science. The Inventors workshop will help students see themselves in STEM fields by learning these subjects from a more diverse population of teachers that resemble them. Science Happens 4 Me via Inventor’s Workshop seeks to strengthen career planning and coaching in urban middle and high school girls and expand career pathways and vocational technical programs, ensuring more students have work-based learning experiences.
