Lake Worth Playhouse respectfully requests support to strengthen and expand the community impact of its artistic, educational, and public programming, ensuring that individuals of all ages, incomes, and abilities have access to enriching cultural experiences that enhance well-being, foster belonging, and inspire personal growth.

As Palm Beach County’s oldest continuously operating community theatre, Lake Worth Playhouse offers a unique model where professional artists, volunteers, and emerging talent collaborate on the same stage. Unlike larger regional theatres that primarily feature professional productions, the Playhouse emphasizes grassroots participation, providing hands-on opportunities for local performers, designers, technicians, and students to develop their craft and contribute to the cultural life of the community.

Guided by an inclusive mission, the Playhouse ensures that people of all ages, abilities, and economic backgrounds can experience the performing arts as artists, students, or audience members. This commitment to affordability, accessibility, and community engagement makes the Playhouse not just a theatre, but a creative home that reflects and serves the diverse residents of Palm Beach County.

Many families, particularly those with young children, face barriers to accessing live arts experiences, including cost, limited age-appropriate programming, and lack of early exposure. Without these opportunities, children may miss the social, emotional, and educational benefits that the arts provide.

To address this need, Lake Worth Playhouse will present the Family Theater Series, a three-show theatrical experience designed specifically for families with children ages 5–12. Each dynamic, 60-minute production will combine storytelling, music, and adventure to introduce young audiences to live theatre in an engaging and welcoming environment.

The series will spark imagination, support early learning, strengthen family connections, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts, while ensuring that more families across Palm Beach County can experience the joy and inspiration of live theatre together.
